This Round Top provides many coastal businesses with their ice cream and makes the stuff year-round. Brenda and Gary Woodcock have owned this business for 18 years, but worked at it for 34. The business has been established since 1924 and started at the nearby Round Top Farm. With 15 percent butterfat, the product is properly called a super-premium ice cream. Over 60 flavors are made, as well as sorbets, sherbets, and frozen yogurts. Fall flavors include pumpkin, Indian pudding, ginger, cinnamon, and apple cinnamon; all are made with cream from Maine's three biggest dairies. Different creams goes into different flavors, because the cooks here are very alert to the creams' tastes. In the summer, try the red raspberry swirl.
